The Great Debate: Left or Right

Have you heard of The Great Debate: Where to Start - Left or Right when you enter EPCOT? 

EPCOT is made up of 11 different countries, each with their own magical pavilions. These pavilions make up a giant circular loop around World Showcase Lagoon. Since it is a circular path, you need to decide where to start and where to end. Many people will tell you to head left into the Mexico Pavilion and others will swear by heading right into the Canada Pavilion. Ultimately, the choice is yours! 

Guests staying at Disney’s Yacht Club, Beach Club, BoardWalk Inn or Skyliner Resorts have the giant perk of entering through the back entrance. For these guests, there’s one perfect place to start - France! 

In clockwise order, the countries are as follows: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, United States, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom and Canada. We feel that Mexico, France and Norway get the busiest. Now, there’s no wrong way to ‘travel the world’ but there are certainly a lot of opinions!

By Starting left (Mexico), you will avoid the crowds in the later part of the day. By starting right (Canada), you will get to France (think Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure) faster. Also, France has our favorite quick service breakfast option - Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris. When deciding if you are a “Start Left” or a “Start Right” family, we suggest planning out your must-do list!
